About

Good storytelling can change hearts and minds, and I love nothing more than shining a light on a new subject, distilling complex historical topics into a gripping story. Whether it’s dramatic reconstruction or observational filming, I have a flair for crafting visual stories, immersing myself in new worlds, and building relationships.

I've gained the trust of a Syrian family living in the Middle East's largest refugee camp; filmed Ukrainian soldiers destined for the frontline; and recreated the dying days of the Third Reich in the BBC's flagship history series, Rise of the Nazis.

I’m confident directing DoPs or self-shooting, as well as pulling together tasters and rushes on Premiere Pro or Avid. In the edit I’m capable of intelligent and sensitive storytelling with warmth and humour, responding to briefs and changes from commissioners on time and on budget.

Talent I’ve enjoyed working with include: Nigel Havers, Joanna Lumley, Lucy Worsley, JJ Chalmers, Xand van Tullekan, Alexander Armstrong, Michael Portillo and Raksha Dave.
